Commercial Catering Equipment Procurement Exercise
Government Procurement Service is withdrawing the current competitive tendering exercise for Commercial Catering Equipment with immediate effect. It is our intention to restart the procurement process in the New Year.
After undertaking a full review of our procurement strategy, we believe we need to adopt a different lotting structure and revise the scope to meet the changing and emerging requirements of our Central Government and wider public sector customers to ensure we secure best value and efficiency out of the framework agreement.
We will re-start the procurement process by advertising the revised requirements in the Official Journal of the European Union by the end of February 2012. The new tendering exercise will be undertaken following the Open Procurement procedure, which will reduce the time to deliver a new framework agreement for Commercial Catering and Refrigeration Equipment. It is our intention that the new framework agreement will be awarded and accessible to customers by June 2012.
