sid4health

sid4health provides purchasing organisations procuring on behalf of, or creating framework agreements for the NHS/health sector with a single source of data on suppliers linked to their Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) D-U-N-S® number – the NHS data standard for supplier codes – and includes a set of non-editable data fields supplied from D&B.

sid4health is a web based supplier database, centrally funded and provided free of charge to suppliers and to the above purchasing organisations. It provides these purchasing organisations with a once-only approach to the collation of key data on suppliers and enables suppliers to provide their data into sid4health once-only (updates will be required for individual procurements). Suppliers are validated via D&B using D-U-N-S® number and the financial and risk data on suppliers from D&B is included in the suppliers’ profiles. There are currently over 76,000 suppliers registered on the database.

sid4health was designed as a supplier information database that would provide an agreed set of supplier and Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) data. The data sets were created, after stakeholder engagement, as a cover all for the standard set of questions asked within a health sector procurement, but it is recognised that these standard questions can be used across many categories and covering non health sector procurements. The data sets are based on OGC defined sets of questions for a PQQ..

Publication of a company profile on sid4health does not mean or imply that the supplier has in any way been vetted or approved by purchasing organisations procuring on behalf of, or creating framework agreements for the NHS/health sector and does not mean they are a contracted supplier included on any framework agreement contracts created by purchasing organisations procuring on behalf of, or creating framework agreements for the NHS/health sector.

Suppliers should have one main published profile and can have as many validated profiles as required for specific tender responses.

Further developments on sid4health will improve interoperability on transfer of standardised data and includes and allows interfacing to NHS eSourcing systems.

Suppliers and purchasing organisations procuring on behalf of, or creating framework agreements for the NHS/health sector can access sid4health at the following web portal

D-U-N-S® numbers

Suppliers should check on the sid4health web site if they are already registered (65,000 suppliers were pre-registered via a matching process using D&B from data collated from many Hubs and Trusts AP systems). If not already pre-registered, new suppliers need to obtain a D-U-N-S® number before registering their company on sid4health.
