BT Premier Value
The OGCbuying.solutions–BT Premier Value Scheme provides public sector organisations with access to the top tier of BT's Premier Value call package. This is achieved through a commitment made by Buying Solutions to BT on behalf of the public sector. During 2007, this commitment was increased to £10M, enabling further substantial savings to be provided through eligibility for BT's best ever permanent business call tariff - Premier Value Band H.
Landline call charges reduced by 23% from July 1st 2008
Following last year’s 31% cut in UK landline charges, the charge for UK local and national calls under the OGCbuying.solutions–BT Premier Value Scheme was reduced from July 1st 2008 by a further 23%, down to 0.85 pence per minute. Premier Value customers benefit automatically from the new tariffs from July 1st. Customers should however note that the minimum call charge has been increased from 1.8 to 2.2 pence.
In addition, call charges from landlines to most mobiles (O2, T-Mobile, Orange, Vodafone) have been standardised at 8.1 pence per minute at all times, resulting in a daytime (07:00–19:00) charge reduction of up to 17%, averaging 10%. However, some evening and weekend charges have increased.
Over the past five years the Buying Solutions commitment has already saved public sector organisations more than £45 million, and over 670 customers have signed up, making this one of our flagship deals. Individual organisations have reported call cost reductions of between 10 and 30 per cent.
Avoid extra payment charges with BT OneBillPlus
Premier Value customers are strongly advised to take advantage of BT’s OneBillPlus. By consolidating all their bills into a single invoice, organisations can save money and time, improve cash flow management and reduce transactional costs. OneBillPlus averts the £4.50 charge recently imposed for customers not using Direct Debit or Monthly Payment Plan, and minimises the risk of incurring a £10 late payment charge.
